5th International Women in Law Conference „Making Law Attractive Again”, Vienna, Austria, September 12-14, 2024

The International Conference „Making Law Attractive Again” was held in Vienna, Austria on September 12-14, 2024. It was organized by the Women in Law Initiative.

The conference covered two main topics: Young Voices: The Future of Law (How can we create a more diverse and welcoming future for law) and Unlocking Equal Pay (How to promote pay transparency and combat the gender pay gap in Europe). It was divided into 4 conference tracks:

  1. Women’s Rights – Gender-Based Violence (Strategies and Tactics: Empowering Legal Professionals in Fighting Gender-Based Violence and Creating a Gender-Inclusive Practice).
  2. Successful Legal Professions 2030+ (Staying Successful in the Legal Professions in 2030+ by Embracing the Artificial Intelligence Wave in Law).
  3. Access to Justice (Breaking Down Barriers: Effective Ways to Ensure Access to Justice for All).
  4. ESG & SDGs (Building a Prosperous Future For All: How the Legal Professions Can Embrace ESG and SDG Principles).

AEA-EAL was represented at the conference by the Immediate Past President, Maria Ślązak.
